🙂 WELCOME TO FABULOUS Y4 🙂
Year four is a really hard working fun class to be in. We enjoy a wide range of exciting activities, which celebrate the many gifts, talents and interests of the children in class. We strive to do our best at all times no matter what the challenge.
Home Learning
All of our home learning work will be sent home each week on ClassDojo. A link to a one drive folder will be shared every Friday, it will provide all tasks and activities for the following week.
If you have any questions about the home learning tasks please message Mrs Hitchen or Mrs Mitchell on ClassDojo.
Should you need to self-isolate all work will be made available through the ClassDojo, the one drive folder will be shared this way. There is a copy of our Remote Education Policy on the school website.
⭐️⭐️⭐️We would like to say a huge thank you for all your hard work and dedication to learning throughout the Spring term whether you were in school or at home. WELL DONE! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Welcome to our Year 4 class page. We hope that you find the information on here useful.
Mrs Hitchen and Mrs Mitchell are the class teachers, Mrs Unsworth and Mrs O'Neil are our great teaching assistants. Mrs Hurst teaches music to Year 4 and during music the children will be learning how to play a brass instrument - this has caused great excitement in class.
Mrs Hitchen teaches in year 4 on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, Mrs Mitchell teaches in year 4 on Monday and Tuesday, whilst Mrs Hitchen works in the office with Mrs Vose.
Mrs Mitchell and Mrs Hitchen have lots of opportunities to talk about the work taking place in class during the week so that they both have a clear view of how the children are progressing.
Spellings homework will be handed out on Monday and tested the following Monday, please support your child with this work at home. Homework each week will consist of Mathletics and Reading Plus, this work must be completed at home and this will be monitored in school.
P.E. lessons are on Thursday and the children are developing a variety of skills with a P.E. specialist. Please ensure that your child always comes to school in their P.E. kit on Thursdays.
Just a reminder that there is no access to water fountains in school. Your child must have a large water bottle in school every day. Water bottles need to go home at the end of each day and be returned full of fresh water every morning, the children will not be able to refill their water botle whilst in school.
