HOME LEARNING
Firstly a huge thank you to all the families doing a fantastic job of engaging with the home learning activities during this time. It has been great to see how enthusiastic and independent you have all been, being able to produce work to a high standard and presenting it in a range of quality, imaginative and eye-catching ways.
The use of the OneDrive folder seems to be working well for most, but feel free to contact me if you would like me to provide the activities in a different way. Thank you to those families who have uploaded work directly onto the OneDrive folder, sent me work via Class Dojo or emailed in directly to me. I really do enjoy seeing what you get up to.
I am so proud of you all, especially with how you have adapted and dealt with the current situation in such a mature and sensible way. I am keeping everything crossed that Year 5 will return to school before the end of the summer term so I get to have you back in my class, even if it is just for a short period of time, before you head off to Year 6 in September.
Stay safe and keep in touch!
YEAR 5 CLASS PAGE
Welcome to our Year 5 class page. We hope you find everything you need, but if not, do feel free to come in to speak to us.
Mr Gilbertson is our class teacher, Mrs Unsworth and Mrs Turner are the teaching assistants working with us throughout the week, and Mrs Hurst teaches us our music on a Tuesday afternoon.
Spellings are sent home on a Monday and should be practised daily, ready for our spelling test on Fridays.
Each week, children should aim to have: at least three signatures from a parent or guardian to say they have read at home (this can be Reading Plus activities) and have scored at least 500 points on Mathletics.
PE lessons are on a Thursday afternoon, so please make sure your child brings their PE kit and a water bottle.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
