Welcome to our Year 3 class page. We hope that you find the information on here useful.
Mrs Hitchen and Mr Hurst are the class teachers, Mrs Parker is our great teaching assistant. Mrs Hurst teaches music to Year 3.
Mrs Hitchen is teaching in year 3 on Monday, Thursday and Friday, Mr Hurst is teaching in year 3 on Tuesday and Wednesday, whilst Mrs Hitchen works in the office with Mrs Vose.
Mr Hurst and Mrs Hitchen have lots of opportunities to talk about the work taking place in class during the week so that they both have a clear view of how the children are progressing.
Spellings homework will be handed out on a Monday and collected in on Friday. Homework each week will consist of literacy and numeracy activities which will relate to the week’s class work in order to solidify newly taught skills. These will be given out on Friday and collected the following Monday. In addition, children will receive Mathletics homework each week. There is always an opportunity for children to come and see us most break and lunch times if they are having difficulties accessing a computer at home.
We appreciate your help and support with these activities at home and we are pleased that the children are completing their homework to a high standard showing dedication and maturity.
P.E. lessons are on Thursday this half term and the children are developing their swimming skills
Just a reminder about the availability if water in class - it would be great if you could ensure that your child has a water bottle in school everyday. Water bottles need to go home at the end of each day and be returned full of fresh water every morning.
